LaVern, a registered nurse, serves as the Vice President of Nursing & Patient Services at Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington, North Carolina. Cone Health Alamance Regional Medical Center is a 238-bed medical and surgical hospital in Alamance County. LaVern joined Cone Health in 2005 and embraced her current role in 2013. She has been instrumental in implementing electronic medical records across the network and has been involved actively with the Cone Health Institutional Review Board and Cone Health Diversity and Inclusion Council. LaVern was also part of the steering committee working for re-designating Cone Health hospitals through the American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet Recognition Program. LaVern Wilson Delaney, MSN, MHA, MBA, BSN, RN, NE-BC

LaVern Wilson Delaney, MSN, MHA, MBA, BSN, RN, NE-BC, attended the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (1991) and Master of Science degree in Nursing (1998). She then went on to complete her Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Health Administration (MHA) degrees at Pfeiffer University in Misenheimer, NC (2009). She is Nurse Executive Board-Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. LaVern remains an active member of the American Nurses Association and the North Carolina Nurses Association. Moreover, she is the president of CrossRoads, a child and adult sexual assault, abuse and human trafficking response/resource center and is also a board member of HealthShare Credit Union. Prior to her current endeavors, she worked at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital and Sentara Healthcare in Norfolk, VA. In 2016, she was recognized as a Great 100 Nurse in North Carolina.
